As the season of Lent is quickly approaching, we will prepare as usual with Shrove Tuesday’s Pancake Supper in the parish hall at 6pm on February 17. Traditionally during Lent, people fasted from rich foods. The day before the beginning of Lent people would use up ingredients such as eggs, milk, and butter to prepare for their fast. Today, we will observe this practice by having our own pancake supper in recognition of Lent as a time of dietary restriction. Please sign up on the whiteboard in the hall to say that you will attend. A donation of $5 is recommended with a maximum of $20 per family. As always, Tech students eat for free. Chuck Fleming asks that men willing to help shop, serve, set up, cook, and/or clean up contact him at flemingc@twlakes.net.
